Vintage-Style Washington Wedding with Flowers by Portland Wedding Florist

Summer in the PNW is one of my favorite times of year, and it’s no wonder so many people choose to get married in the summertime in and around Portland. This vintage styled wedding was located in southwest Washington at a rustic style farm. The ceremony took place outdoors with arches of grapevine setting the backdrop. This Washington wedding had floral designs created in shades of whites, creams, blushes and pinks and included blooms of locally grown dahlias along with roses, larkspur, phlox, ranunculus, scabiosa and mixed greenery.

This sweet couple chose to focus most of the floral designs on the ceremony, with a lush covered arch to say their vows under and an aisle lined with floral arrangements that were reused at table ends for the reception.

Florist tip: When thinking about floral designs in the ceremony space, such as aisle arrangements, talk to your florist about the possibility of reusing arrangements for the reception. While archways, chuppahs and other structures may not be moveable, smaller arrangements can be transported to other areas and enjoyed for more of the event day than just the 30-minute ceremony!
