Winter Wedding in Portland, Oregon at The Evergreen + Vendors

Portland Wedding Vendors

Oregon is home to some unique and beautiful wedding venues and there’s no shortage of talented wedding industry pros in the city of Portland either.

Whether you’re looking for some amazing Portland wedding vendors (hello, Portland wedding florist here!) and venues, seeking out some winter wedding inspiration, or curiously seeing what types of wedding flowers are good for the winter months, the following can give you some insight and ideas for what a Portland wedding in winter can look like.

Portland Wedding Venue: The Evergreen

This collaborative styled shoot took place at one of my favorite wedding venues in Portland, Oregon. Located in SE Portland, The Evergreen is the perfect mix of industrial, historic, modern and elegant.

This indoor Portland wedding venue features wide open spaces, high ceilings and exposed brick, and can accommodate intimate weddings and gatherings of up to 200 people seated. It’s ADA accessible and close to so many Portland hotels, restaurants and bars, making it a super-convenient and beautiful venue for Portland weddings year round.

Portland Wedding Planner: Jaime Ta Creative

Portland wedding planner Jaime Ta coordinated this day and I can’t recommend her enough. Not only is she extremely organized and communicative, making any wedding planning process a breeze, but she’s incredibly warm-hearted and kind.

She’s the co-founder of Vendors of Color, a wedding vendor directory that uplifts BIPOC wedding vendors in the Pacific Northwest. If you’re looking for an inclusive and talented wedding planner, reach out to Jaime!

Portland Bridal Shop: White Dress PDX

Gowns from this shoot were provided by The White Dress, a family-owned bridal boutique carrying dresses in various in sizes and price points. The White Dress is located in downtown Portland.

Portland Catering: The Platter Girl

I absolutely love a good charcuterie board. A fancy meat and cheese platter at a wedding? Yes, please! Lea is based out of Portland, Oregon and creates the most gorgeous platters and grazing tables for events. Herbal-infused honey, artisanal cheese, meats, and more… my mouth is watering. Have this at your next event, there’s no way your guests won’t love it.

Portland Wedding Florist

While Oregon is an incredible place for locally grown flowers from spring through fall, the winter months are a bit more challenging to source things that are grown in and around Portland. For this shoot, I opted to use a lot of dried floral elements, including locally grown dried fern, grasses and hops.

Dried flowers have definitely been a trend in the past couple of years and I don’t see them going away anytime soon. While I often use a combination of dried and fresh florals, I find that dried flowers can bring really beautiful textural elements into a design. Additionally, the fact they can be reused makes them a very sustainable choice, too.

Looking for a Portland wedding florist for your upcoming event? I’d love to hear more about your vision and needs!

This wedding cake by Zelia + Rose Cakes is almost too beautiful to eat. And get this, the florals on this cake are handcrafted sugar flowers, making this a safe and hygienic way to incorporate blooms into you cake decor.
